The Middle Section of the Ocoee is great for beginners and the experienced. There are over 20 class III and IV rapids created when TVA releases water from Ocoee Dam No. 2. This beautiful five mile stretch begins immediately with a class IV rapid called Grumpys and does not stop until the end. When the rapids are not running TVA is directing the water through the flume line that runs along the river banks to create electricity.
